The Ministry of Mashed Sound has released a new genre clash compilation, which features brand new mashups from a range of producers including Ben Double M, Envision, The Reborn Identity, Mash2Mix, MadMixMustang, Bobby Martini, G3rst, Colatron, mARKYbOY, CrowdedBabes, G4Gorilla and more.

The Reborn Identity track, Wonderful Liar (Oasis vs Beyoncé & Shakira) is exclusive to Sounds From A New World, so the only way to get hold of it just now is to download the album from Ministry of Mashed Sound.

After picking up an honourable mention in the Anti-Hit List, the Reborn Identity track Ladykillers (Ladyhawke’s Back of the Van vs The Killers’ When You Were Young) has now been featured on the latest Mash-Up Your Bootz Party Sampler (vol 22). The Reborn Identity ballad Crowded World, released just before Christmas, has been picking up steady interest over the past few months. The track received a “Song of the Week” accolade over at MashStix in February, and has now been featured on the latest Mash-Up Your Bootz Party Sampler (vol 21). 6. LADYHAWKE VS. THE KILLERS
“Ladykillers”

This seamless mash-up represents an irresistible opportunity for the uninitiated to experience New Zealand’s Pip Brown, a.k.a. Ladyhawke, whose 2008 full-length album yielded two of that year’s best singles: “My Delirium” and “Back of the Van.” The latter is paired up here with The Killers’ “When You Were Young” and, despite their lack of common musical ground, the result makes it sound like they at least hang out in the same neighbourhood.
