Love them or hate them, there’s no denying that The Ting Tings know how to produce infectious indie pop tracks. Shut Up and Let Me Go (best known as “that song off the iPod adverts”) is one of the standout tracks on their album and is just crying out to be mashed. I’m only too happy to oblige, with a little help from Shut Your Mouth by Garbage and a dash of The Black Eyed Peas‘ Shut Up.

Infectious ain’t the word Gavin - this is excellent!
Me personally, I love the Ting Tings, but then I’m a sucker for anything that rips off the Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Top tune for the summer, and congrats on hitting the Anti-hit list mate - I know first hand how bloody hard John is to please!

Thanks, Andy. I think the Ting Tings are great - I’m all for bands that sound like they’re actually having fun making music - and I’m guessing John likes them a lot too.
I’ve been a bit suprised at how well this mashup has gone down, given that it’s far from complex or technically difficult. Still, simple is all it takes sometimes.
