Mashed in Plastic - The David Lynch Mashup Video Album
A year ago, I had the great pleasure of putting together the David Lynch mashup album, Mashed in Plastic, along with my fellow members of 1086 Productions (Colatron, Wax Audio and Linus) and a star-studded range of audio contributors. With somewhere in the region of 40,000 downloads from around the world, it’s proven to be far more popular and well received than we could ever have hoped for.
Over the past 12 months I’ve slowly worked my way through all 18 mashups on the album, putting together visuals to match the music, including all the clever interludes Wax Audio created to make the seamless soundtrack. At last, it’s finally finished - a seamless 83 minutes of mashed audio and video material, spanning the TV and movie works of David Lynch.

The final episode of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks was a dark, disturbing and trippy ending to the series. Colatron makes it even trippier with a little help from Portishead.
The last year of the noughties is fast slipping away. With the days turning short, wet and cold, at least there are some top notch bootlegs to keep you entertained on those long dark nights. Here are my favourite picks from the past month.

It’s almost a year now since the release of Mashed in Plastic - the David Lynch mashup album - and it’s taken me the full 12 months to put together videos for every one of the 18 tracks on the compilation. This ferocious, expletive-fuelled video is the last of them but it’s not the end of the story. There’s still more to be seen, so stay tuned.

Wow, what a month. With the summer more or less over, it seems many producers are heading back into the studio full of fresh ideas. The range and diversity of top-class mashups has made choosing this month’s top 10 really difficult but finally, here’s my pick of the mashups and albums that have most impressed me this September.
